Why gif ?

the standard compressors in internet are jpeg, mpeg and some others who are working the same. They draw thin black lines in the pictures and frames. These black lines are visible for the red and green eye and ruin the stereo image.

Gif leaves the pictures or frames unharmed if the number of colours is less then 256.
